a little about me & how bear’s buddys became.
My journey into the dog world truly began in 2017 with the arrival of my dog, Bear — he changed everything. Looking back, though, the signs were always there. I’ve been dog‑obsessed since childhood. Our first family dog, a Springer Spaniel who arrived when I was three, was my little partner in crime, and we were undoubtedly double trouble.
As I got older, life and career took over. I found myself working in London in the fashion industry. I enjoyed parts of it, but something always felt missing. Then the idea of having an office dog came up, and I jumped at it.
That’s when this tiny black ball of fluff burst into my life with a huge personality and endless love. It was a real lightbulb moment. Dogs weren’t just something I loved — they were my passion, and always had been. Bear reminded me of that.
In 2019, I made a huge decision: I left my career in fashion and joined a non‑profit dog training and behavioural centre. It was the best leap I’ve ever taken, I have never looked back.
Since making the leap into the dog world in 2019, I’ve gained a wealth of experience that has shaped the way I work today. I completed my Level 3 in Professional Day Care and Boarding, giving me a strong grounding in canine welfare and behaviour. I’ve had the joy of running puppy training classes, supporting new owners through those early, important stages, and I’ve also worked closely with our head behaviourist, learning from complex behavioural cases and taking on several of my own. Every dog I’ve worked with has taught me something new, and all of that experience now feeds directly into the care and understanding I bring to Bear’s Buddys.
